Monday Evening Meditation

Classes held in-person in Lafayette, CA

This is an East Bay Buddhist-based meditation class located in LaMorinda for both beginnings and longtime practitioners.  The class includes a dharma talk, guided meditation and silent sitting. This is a seated meditation class. Chairs, bolsters and blankets are available. Bring your favorite meditation cushion and shawl if you like.

In this class, participants will explore meditation as a path to:

  • Ease anxiety and calm the nervous system

  • Heal grief and cultivate resilience

  • Experience moments of awe, presence, and wonder

  • Let go of the looping question, “Who am I and why are we here?” and live from grounded being

  • Reconnect with purpose, peace, and the sacred now

The Angry Buddhist

In this talk, Cari explores anger not as something to suppress or fear, but as a powerful teacher. She shows how meeting our deepest anger with curiosity can reveal hidden truths about who we are, dissolve layers of conditioning, and ultimately expand our capacity for compassion and wise action.

Cari explores ways to take the power of your practice into the most challenging arenas and times, focusing on:

  • Somatic awareness as a gateway to finding more peace and ease during the holidays

  • Right speech and how it manifests when we disagree- from “inner mission” to “intermission” and healthy communications

  • Practicing deep gratitude but particularly when we are in question of life’s purpose.
